ABOUT THE MAPLES GROUP NON-LEGAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Each year the Maples Group awards Non-Legal scholarships to appropriately qualified Caymanians who require additional financial resources to pursue under-graduate or post-graduate degree courses at recognised colleges or universities.
A Scholarship will be for an amount of up to US$15,000.00 per academic year throughout the duration of the degree course. Scholarships are awarded per academic year and are payable towards tuition, books and accommodation throughout the duration of the degree course.
APPLICATION AND ELIGIBILITY
Applications for our Non-Legal scholarship are considered annually and open 1 April 2026 for the 2026 academic year.
Applications are welcomed from candidates that meet the below criteria:
- must have Caymanian status;
- should normally be less than 30 years old; and
- must have been offered a place (either conditionally or unconditionally) to read for a degree at a recognised college or university commencing at the start of the relevant academic year. Applicants who have already commenced a relevant degree course are also eligible to apply for funding toward the completion of such degree.
Please complete the online application and ensure the following documentation is uploaded:
- Copies of certificates evidencing the candidate's high school passes, degrees, diplomas, etc.;
- Copies of transcripts from high school to date, along with the most recent grade report;
- Written evidence of the offered university place (whether conditional or unconditional); and
- The university’s prospectus and documents evidencing the cost of the course.
Please note that contact details for at least two references should be provided, one of whom must be the candidate's school teacher or university tutor.
